Happy Spring from General Mills!
I hope this Spring season is off to a good start for you, and you are spending quality time with your loved ones and enjoying warmer temperatures. My name is Megan Matthew, and I am the General Mills representative who has the privilege to provide foodservice items to students across the district.
General Mills provides diverse menu options with brands kids love. We offer recipes and marketing support to drive excitement and participation by providing new item posters, special menu ideas for “National Cereal Day” or “National Unicorn Day,” and promotions for National School Breakfast Week.
Getting Cereal-sly Creative
The world is changing and we are staying ahead of the curve by creating innovative products to keep kids eating healthy whole grains and calcium-rich foods. We hope that our products can add a smile to the kids’ faces and create conversation amongst friends in the cafeteria. We create excitement around breakfast, snacks, and lunch by serving products in a variety of ways. One of my favorite versatile products is our bulk yogurt that can be used to create smoothies, parfaits, balanced bowls and dips. Our K-12 marketing team provides new and exciting recipes that the kids and staff will love!
Below you can find the General Mills K12 website that provides menu inspiration, recipes for all occasions, nutrition resources, and other ways General Mills is supporting the industry. This website is not only great for foodservice programs, but also for parents looking for new recipes to try at home!
We love serving students food that they love, and I encourage you to follow along on our social media platforms. We love when schools share feedback of the resources and recipes we provide and we often feature districts across the nation!
